  1. I think I’m going …
I think I’m going to get this one when I run out of Nanette Lepore Love Bird (Limited Edition and hard to find). They smell almost exactly the same.

    It is very nice, …
It is very nice, but not really worth the money I think, because I would always gat SJP’s “Lovely” instead!

    aharieebayybee16, …
aharieebayybee16, Sephora are great for offering samples of whatever you’re interested in – I’d check it out there if I were you.

And if you fall in love with it (or any fragrance), you can often snag great discounts on the Internet!

    I haven’t tried …
I haven’t tried this fragrance but for the price that Macy’s is charging I would hope it is a excellent one! I don’t even think I’d pay what they are asking I’d rather have one by Chanel!

  5. i didn’t like this …
i didn’t like this scent. i got it as a gift and just couldnt wear it. way too spicy and woodsy, it is Strong too, a little too masculine if i may say so

  6. Nice review! and I …
Nice review! and I truely love this scent.

    Thanks

  7. it’s mine!! :)

    Also, check out …
Also, check out Chanel Égoïste, which I think might hit the “Lovely” spot for you. Égoïste is nominally for men, but its rose-vanilla-sandalwood blend smells beautiful on us gals. Besides, a lot of men find it “too girly” for them to wear, so that tells you something!

    If you love Lovely, …
If you love Lovely, trot your nose on over to Kenzo Winter Flower (the original Flower is great, too).

I’ve also been enjoying The Lover by The Gap. It’s not as floral as Lovely, but has the same beguiling soft, sensual effect.

  10. I agree they’re …
I agree they’re very much alike, Lovely is my favourite and I wear it everyday.
The review was great by the way and I agree with “you can’t help by like it”.
can you recommend more scents of this type? thanks:)

    Thanks, Edweeny! …
Thanks, Edweeny! BTW, the Spring Fling Giveaway is over, but the current giveaway is Sarah Horowitz Perfect Nectar.

  12. wow, this is great!
    wow, this is great!

  13. you should review …
    you should review escada perfumes

    Ha-ha! That was …
Ha-ha! That was turning into back-handed compliment before you flipped that around.

I adore Luca T/Tania S’s writing and sensibilities, myself. And I’ll never be able to top LT calling Paris Hilton Just Me a “barf-bag floral”.

    Thanks a million for subscribing!

  15. By the way, I meant …
By the way, I meant that Turin and Sanchez aren’t as entertaining as you are–not the other way around! :)

  16. Katie, your reviews …
Katie, your reviews are so imaginative and articulate at the same time (a rare combo)! Your comments sometimes call to mind Luca Turin’s and Tania Sanchez’s “Perfumes: The Guide”–but they’re not quite as entertaining.

I couldn’t help but subscribe. Can’t wait to see what you review next!

    I’d be interested …
I’d be interested to hear what you think. Do let me know.

  18. i’ve heard …
i’ve heard comparisons between the two but i’ve never tried it. i think i will next time i go to sephora.

looking forward to your review :)

    Giltgold, I wonder …
Giltgold, I wonder if you might like Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker? I think in many ways, it’s a more successful working of the ideas in For Her. And I’d say Lovely is less florally than For Her, and it also lasts well. And one last note: I just got Lovely in the “liquid satin” formulation, and that’s muskier still, but still soft and gorgeous. You could try that, too.

I’m all “Lovely’d up” at the minute, because I’ve got a review of it coming up soon.

  20. the EDT smells …
the EDT smells delicious, but it’s one of the fastest fading scents i’ve ever had. so unfortunate. i wish they made a more concentrated version without the florals in the EDP. that one smells like straight up alcohol (particularly beer) to me.

  21. Yes, indeed, I find …
Yes, indeed, I find it a bit too conventional too, and your comparison to fluffy kitten fits exactly ^_^!
I will not wear it, because apart from musks and a strange patchouli, I find it a bit void, and as a perfume lovers I know there are far more satisfeying perfumes. Even if it’s a matter of taste too.

  22. Right on the money …
Right on the money Honey–”cristalle with training wheels”…..LOL

  23. KatiePuckrikSmells

    Well, that’s the …
Well, that’s the fun part about analyzing a fragrance – everyone picks up on something different. And it gives us all something to talk about! Glad you dig my scene..

  24. Beatlesgirl1978

    At first I …
At first I disagreed with your “cristalle with training wheels” essment. But the more I have thought about it, I think you are right! Love your reviews so much!

    Ooh…weird and …
Ooh…weird and interesting is such an intriguing combo! I hope to be able to cover those ones. Thanks for the tip!
