Hi – I had a reaction to Hugo Boss perfume last week and emailed the company to report it. I also advised that i would not be seeking compensation as I had used the brand for years before and had only just developed a sensitivity. My GP recommended i advised the company as they need to know when allergies occur.
I had a lovely apology off the company and they advised that they would be sending a cheque to "reimburse" me.
How much can i expect from them? It was a large (75ml) bottle but as i advised i was over halfway through.
Anything is a bonus as i wasnt expecting anything but does anyone know what amount Proctor and Gamble are likely to send? As a guide the perfume is £46 on the Boss website
Snakeman ! – thats the only reason i bothered to let them know. They have a database of ingredients which are likely to cause reaction and try to phase them out apparently
I imagine they'll probably refund you the cost of the product you were using ! As you said – you weren't expecting anything – so it'll be a nice gift – whatever you get !
Edit: Nice of you to tell them of your allergy – their R & D department will welcome the feedback, as it will help improve the product in future.

As a good and considered consumer. I think you should receive a full refund. It does not matter that you used a small portion or a large one.Your reaction was negative so they should comply with the consumer regulations. Full refund.
