   Well, nose-wise, practice makes perfect. You can clue up your nose to different scent characteristics by just becoming more aware of the smells around you. Like when I cook (I love cooking Indian food!), I sniff the different spices: saffron, in, pepper, cardamom, etc, and then can i.d. them when they pop up in perfume. It’s just training yourself, like an airport drug sniffer dog!

   How in the world do you distinguish every subtle note of a perfume like that??? I just can’t seem to do it

   Maybe it’s just a matter of getting used to something. After all, one summer when I was in college, I had a job as a landscaper, and now I can detect the smell of mulch from a mile away.

   Just rubbed some Chanel’s “Mademoiselle” on my wrist.
