i dont blame my religion.i am a muslim.i had my primary education of my religion. All the time i was taught like God will punish for this and that.So the picture of god in my mind was unfortunately, "crueal".God will not even give the fragrance of heaven if womens showed their hair.women are not permitted to show their face to other men.I am an ambitios girl.i am 19 and the "fun"of my life is going to end in few years.what i mean is, i like to look buetifull, i like to wear fashionable dresses,i like to have fun with my friends and..i am doing it.
but some times i feel like God is watching all this and i am going to be the one whome God hates(that's what my religion say if i do things like this).if i just ignore it continue to have my fun life ,what will hapen to me at the end?the feeling of violating God's rules will kill me at my old age.so… i am confused. No one will blame me if live like i want.but "if " God exist what will be my fate?i dont believe other religions.what you think?
you dont have full knowledge of the influence you have on the world around you when you wear revealing clothes and act out in a certain way. I have tendencies to dislike women who wear these so called ambitious, revealing clothes. Trust me that so called fun lifestyle, really takes a toll, and gets old quick.

Religion is an invention of man. There are no gods in reality, and when you die you simply cease to exist, so there is absolutely nothing to worry about on that score.

The problem is most religions like to keep people under their control by preaching what they think god wants, when really they probably don't know what he/she really wants or if he/she really exist.
If anything it sounds like being a Muslim might not be the right religion for you, I suggest that you find one that pictures god to being more peaceful and forgiving.
oh and you will not like Christianity because god is pictured almost just as cruel.

What do you mean "Your religion says"… is this written somewhere? I would just do what the Bible says… there is nothing in the New Testament (which is the New Law to obey after Jesus died on the cross) that commands that we not show our hair, or to dress a certain way.
It all comes down to what's in your heart.
Romans 10:9 states, “That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.”
John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 5:24 "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life."
Romans 10:13 "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

If this is the religion you love, you can only follow it as best as you can. We are not perfect, but we can, out of respect and love, putting aside our own desires and wants, live our life with these burdens as if they were nothing but feathers for our wings.
I hope that you can sort this out through prayer and meditation before believing people's answers here.
If you take a vow, take a vow. If you break a vow, God always leaves room for forgiveness. We are little.

God (and there is only one!) is a very forgiving god. He does not look down at you and condem you for your mistakes. Don't be afraid of God having an open communication with him and just talking and praying to him will help you find the answers that you desire. God knows before you what you are going to do. When the ends comes and you are facing him its not the sins he looks at but what you have done for other's that puts the crowns on your head.

Only you know what has gone on in your life to make you fear God. He is our ultimate father. When we have done wrong or feel guilt we usually fear our fathers. I would suggest you continue to pray, especially for any transgressions you may have unconsciously may have comitted or omitted. Then pray for peace. But first. clean out your closet. God Bless and good luck.

The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge.
We fear God and why shouldn't we. With a word he could remove a man from existance.
Yet, that is not the way of the Lord. His was is always in righteousness and his judgments are based in mercy established through love.
So when we fear God, a man can fear God as a wrong does who if lives in sin will be punished or a man can fear God as a child fears his parent.
We need to fear God just as a child fears his parent. We do so blindly as a child, realizing we must trust God as our parent or Father, who is looking only to protect his children and keep them from harm.

not to disrespect your beliefs or religion. But the things that muslims believe, are absolutely not true. you do not have to wear anything on your head, or cover your face. that was man made, not God made. You have a right to show yourself, and be proud of the person you are, and what God gave to you. every religon in the world controls people with fear. even christianity. I am a spiritualist, and I have knowledge that religious people are to scared or brainwashed to get. and Im telling you, for absolute sure, all you have to do, is love your self and love others, everything else, means nothing.

In your profile you say you're a "dreamer." Stop dreaming, wake up and smell the coffee of reality, and ditch your religion. Can't you see what it's doing to you? You DO NOT need organized religion to live a full, NATURAL life. May I give you a bit of wisdom based on my own experience? Organized religions like Islam and Christianity actually KILL spirituality, because these religions are steeped in doctrine and dogma – RULES for "proper" human behavior. They are PRISONS that have little or no tolerance for free thinking, the kind that deviates (even a little) from the rules set out by organized religious doctrines and dogma.
There is not now, nor has there ever been, empirical, testable, or verifiable evidence of the existence of gods, which include the Christian version and the Islamic Allah. You are your own God, and your own God resides within your own essence and spirit. Live your life as you see fit, so long as you harm no one intentionally.

I know a lot of people who follow God's rules, and they do everything the way we are told, and they are still not happy, not getting things they need, very poor and sad all the time. After some time thinking of this, I asked myself why in the world would someone create us just to make us suffer? To me, it's the same as a parent beating a child because they're not doing anything right. Is this right? I mean, don't we take the child away from the parents when we find out this is happening?
Humans are ignorant, but think that they know everything and if you don't believe what they believe, you're an idiot or an outcast and you become invisible in a way.
I think that the reason we're here is to accept each other just the way we are. I also believe people are too ignorant and self-absorbed to even think of striving for that and we will all die without having accomplished this. No matter what religion people follow, they'll all end up in the same place. I do believe there is an after-life, but I don't know what it is. No one really does.
I don't think it's "fun" to dress in reveling clothing, and I hate the fact that if you're not wearing the right thing, people look down on you as if you're doing something horribly wrong. You're not.
No one is on this planet for very long. Some are her longer than others, but no one is going to stay here. This is not out home, no matter what we think. People are destroying the planet in any way they can because it's not their. People steal and hate because we're all gonna die anyway but the point is to NOT do those things. Humans are very egotistical and will do bad things to get a fix. They don't care who they hurt, as long as they get what they want.
You need to ask yourself what you want out of your own life and out of this world. When you find your answer, you need to go out and find a way to get that. Some people choose bad things but I hope you will pick good things. What makes YOU happy and makes you feel "enlightened" is what you should strive to be and have in your life.
Remember, nothing you buy on earth will leave here with you so be careful what you choose to have and make sure you're not attached to any of it.
Find a way to become a little enlightened (read some books by the Dalai Lama – they're fantastic!) Whether you believe in his religion or not, his books offer great lessons everyone should be willing to follow.
I don't consider myself religious, and don't consider my family's religion my own. This made it easier for me to learn about other religions.
Many people will say God doesn't exist, and if they're right, it's really up to you to decide what you'll do about your life. Would you rather live your life being good and helping others along the way, or would you rather be bad and do things for yourself and your friends and you successes on this planet? You pick.
If he does exist, he is apparently trying to "save" us. I may not believe in him at this point but that doesn't mean I don't agree with the 10 Commandments. No one knows the full truth, and I would rather try my best to be a good person. If you think about it, everyone has problems, we're all fighting battles our own friends have no clue about. Learn from them, and whatever happens when we die, at least you know you were striving to be good. Some bad people see themselves as doing good, but that's just what THEY believe and if it makes them feel better about their lives, they'll continue being mean. No matter what we believe, like I said, we'll all end up in the same place.

Because God is Love He doesn't hate anyone; nor will He ever hate His creation, as it is against His nature to hate in this way…
However, that doesn't mean He can't hate some of the things that we do. You see, what we do in defiance to His moral laws is what He hates.
Now, does He hate these things merely because He wants to have control over us, and by doing what we want outside of His will for us we take that control away from Him, and thus leave Him feeling insecure; or does He hate such things because though they give us a sense of pleasure for a time, they ultimately rob us of longevity of life and happiness?
Before addressing this question we need to answer another question…
Is it a moral crime to wear your hair down or to wear fashionable clothes, or to go out with your friends and enjoy a pizza? I don't believe so!
God isn't as much concerned about your hair and dress as He is about how you treat others. So this is where we must draw the line between morals and matters of taste.
For example, I like ice-cream, but that doesn't mean I should steal it in order to enjoy it. The fact that I eat ice-cream isn't a moral crime. It's what means I have used to get that ice-cream that determines if I am guilty of having done something immoral.
Moreover, you can wear a stylish dress because you like the way it looks on you. But if you wear it because you want to use it as a means to seduce men, or to draw attention to yourself, then there is something wrong with this picture.
Does this make sense?
So we need to note the difference between morals and matters of taste, because we often cause ourselves pain by creating guilt that really has no place within our lives. In other words, we beat ourselves up over things that we believe we did wrong when the things that we did have nothing to do with moral crimes, but were just simply matters of taste, like eating ice-cream(some people would actually consider it to be a moral crime to do this).
Now, when it comes to behavior and how we ought to treat others and how we ought to take care of ourselves, doing what is morally right must always take precedence over pleasure.
It is because we merely think about pleasing ourselves for the moment that we often fail to see the end from the beginning, and thereby take a path that leads to a destructive end. Thus, we allow pleasure to take precedence over common sense; and this is what usually causes us to become blind to the fact that God loves us.
You see, people often choose to substitute His way for pleasure; and when the pain sets in they assume it is the result of a hateful God unleashing His anger on them, when it is merely the result of a bad choice–if not their own, someone else's.
This is not to say that I believe you are guilty of doing this. It is to merely suggest that it is best to not think only in terms of what you can do for yourself to gain pleasure out of life, but what you can share of yourself to help others to find out what it really means to Live. By living in this way, you too, will find true happiness, because this is the way of Love.
To live such a life is to find true inner peace, and to remove all fears about how God might feel about you, as to live this kind of life is to be one with God!

Ok, so your problem is that you were raised on an extreme view of Islam. Islam is not like that, where women can't show their faces. Please, just go to a mosque in your area, and ask to talk to one of the leaders there. Ask all of your questions and address all of your uncertainties, and ask Allah for guidance. Please do the right thing. I hope this helped! May Allah help you and be with you always!
