   I for one, am totally against MaryKay or should I say MaryKrap. That’s what I think of it.
   Why would I buy a lipstick for $15. when I can buy one for $5.00(save myself $10-of course I would from Avon),
   I’m in the Avon business because I want to meet new people. The best thing is I haven’t been to one meeting yet and I love it, sold more in a year than I did with Mary Kay.

   A business like this relies on the fact taht you’re not afraid to meet new people, and that you’re outgoing enough to invite complete strangers to the shows. Also relies on repeat customers, and advertising. Two of my cousins are Mary Kay reps. One makes more money on MK then she does from the military, and the other makes almost as much as her husband, who works for Aero-twin. It’s all about your skill and willingness to be outgoing. It doesn’t work for everyone, but some people, it really does

   Wow, MK people really got offended by this video. I signed up to be a MK consultant and the first few months were great, fun and profitable- then after I ran out of people like Jen was talking about in this video, it has been difficult to continue and not very profitable. I was attending all the meetings, following what the sales directors said, etc. but was ending up spending more on marketing, Propay fees, shipping to customers, etc. than what was coming in.

You get what you ask for and what you want out of Mary Kay. In fact, with the purchase of my kit I got SCRIPTS to memorize to get parties, sales and customers. She really is kind of off or isn’t good at direct sales.

   Everyone in Mary Kay has their “own” way of doing things. I am building my business in a salon. I do the customized make overs i do the parties they bring more money in at one time but I enjoy the one on one customized make overs because it gives you a chance to connect with your customer and see what their needs and wants are I am also in training to be a makeup artist and I am slowly but surly growing my business as a Mary Kay independent beauty consultant

    No one purchases leads for Mary Kay. I have had plenty of people tell me IN MK not to start with your family & friends but that if it comfortable for you go ahead, BUT from there you make booking appointements only with people who were willing to come to a skin care class in the first place. IE: people already interested in your product!! Leads are cold calls and NOT MK condoned. MK training is free. please do not pay this woman she knows nothing about MK or how its run!
