Has anyone shopped at the Bath and Body Works Outlet in Smithfield, NC?

Can you tell me how different the selection is from regular Bath and Body Works stores and if the prices are discounted enough to make it worth driving an extra hour or so to do Christmas shopping? I would also be interested in hearing about experiences others have had at other B&BW outlets just to give me an idea. I REALLY love the aromatherapy stuff, shaving cremes, home fragrances, and wondered how much lower the prices are. Thanks!!

With few exceptions, all of the products you’ll find at BBW outlets are different than the ones you’ll find in the stores.

The products they sell in the outlets are the discontinued items that the regular stores are no longer able to put on their shelves. The prices are fabulous…maybe a bit higher than what you can expect during the semi-annual sales (January and June) for most of the products. (Some of my great finds were $1 face lotion [regularly $12.50!] and some $1 mini lemon creamy body washes [regular $6].)

The only problem is that you never really know what they’re going to have, so it’s kind of a gamble with driving all the way there. Also, if they need to exchange anything, they will only get the discounted price for it.Also, they don’t accept coupons at the outlet stores. I guess it really comes down to how much Christmas shopping you need to do, who you need to shop for…I generally get some friends together to make the trip to our local outlet malls and make a day trip out of it.

If you do decide to go, good luck on getting those great deals!
